Jackie Simms

EHSA Co-President

Jackie is a retired teacher of individuals with hearing losses.  She has worked primarily with school and preschool age children through school systems in St. Louis County, Missouri and the state of North Carolina.  Her daughter grew up in the Ethical Society of St. Louis.  Jackie has served on numerous Ethical Society committees, the American Ethical Union board, as a staff member of the first AEU Lay Leadership Summer School (1996) and on the board of several local organizations.  She is a former board member and continuing long-term volunteer with Building Bridges of Asheville, Inc.

Jackie was honored in 2018 for having served as EHSA president from the founding of the Ethical Society of Asheville in 2001 to 2018.
