Building Bridges across Divides: Communication That Works!
After Roberta’s successful presentation to the Ethical Humanist Society of Asheville in April, several people wanted to learn more from her. Roberta has given many workshops in the past and is delighted to offer a full-day (6 hr.) workshop to all who are interested.
What to expect:
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a communication of connection rather than division; of authenticity and honest (even scary) self-expression, not fake pretense for the sake of the appearance of harmony. It is about finding your own voice and hearing others’ voices. We are creating connections that value everyone’s humanity. Roberta will present and model concepts and practices, and everyone will practice using real-life situations. Learn more at www.steps2peace.
Those with or without any background in NVC are welcome to this event.
Roberta is currently in the Middle East, teaching and using NVC to build bridges. Israeli Jews, Israeli Palestinians, Palestinians from the West Bank, religious and non-religious – all together, using Nonviolent Communication to open their hearts to learn and practice communication that is grounded in a willingness to find and be impacted by the humanity of the “other.”
